The Resident Meeting is limited to Oral Presentation, and the official language is English. The Q&A can be English or 
(1) Research Presentation (basic research, clinical research)
(2) Case Report (case reports of academic significance)
◆ The presenters must be TAO members.
◆ The first author should complete registration before abstract submission. (Click here)
◆ Each participant may submit up to two abstracts as the presenting (first) author for Oral Presentation.
(1) Acceptance decisions
    All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the TAO Organizing Committee.
(2) Method of notification
    Notification of acceptance/rejection of abstracts will be sent through e-mail to the first author.

The Excellent Presentation Award is designed as below :

Purpose To publicly honor excellent presentations.
Subjects of award The first two places in either Case Reports or Research Presentations.
Screening Selected by the Screening Committee.
(1) Affiliations and authors
    - The number of co-authors, including the presenter, should not exceed 4.
(2) Number of words 
    - The title of the abstract should be within 20 words maximum, including spaces.
       Do not use abbreviations. A capital letter should be used only at the beginning. A period at the end is not necessary.
    - The main body of the abstract, in English, should contain no more than 250 words.
(3) Abstract body
It is recommended that the text of the abstract be prepared using your Microsoft Word processing software and be
     pasted into the form using the copy-&-paste feature.

◆ Each presentation will be allocated for 15 minutes, including 12 minutes of presentation and 3 minutes of Q&A.
   Each presentation should be in English.
◆ The slide format should be in Microsoft PowerPoint pptx version and 4:3 ratio. The PowerPoint file should be uploaded

◆ If you want to amend your presentation, simply upload the amended Powerpoint file by using the same user name
   and the topic of your presentation.
◆ Personal laptop is NOT acceptable.

2021 TAO Annual Meeting e-Posters
Call For e-Posters/ Abstract Submission

Dear prospective participants:
Representing 34th Annual Meeting of The Taiwan Association of Orthodontists which will be held a full Live Virtual Conference on December 4-5, 2021, we are pleased to invite all the orthodontic professionals to join the scientific e-Posters presentations to share your expertise to all international colleagues.
It will be our pleasure to receive your submission, whether scientific study or case report, in e-Posters. Please refer to the information and instructions shown below and submit your applicationand abstract by Oct. 11, 2021. Only online application submissions will beaccepted. Abstracts will be peer reviewed and acceptance will be based on content and available space.

Abstract Submission Guidelines
The abstract form is available on the 2021 TAO Annual Meeting website. (Abstract Form downlaod)
Abstract should be written in English and it should not exceed 1500 letters (max). It should be typed on A4 paper using Microsoft Word in Times New Roman font, with the font size 12 pt. The title should not exceed 50 words.
Content of Abstract for the e-Posters
We allow two types of e-Poster submissions: 1. Research report 2. Clinical report.
  1. Research report abstract should include Objective, Materials and Methods, Results and Conclusion.
  2. Clinical report abstract should include Introduction, Diagnosis, Treatment Overview, and Conclusion. Please note that only cases finished with high standards will be accepted in e-Posters.
The research clinical report should be original scientific work and were not submitted or published elsewhere.
Notice of Acceptance
Applicants will receive an e-mail notice of acceptance orrejection after submitted abstract reviewed by the scientific committee of Taiwan Association of Orthodontics. Presenter of the accepted abstract must then complete the payment as participant of 2021 TAO Annual Meeting website. (Online Registration)

e-Poster Preparation
e-Posters will be displayed on "E-poster" online section of the official website (E-Poster Exhibition). The content of presentation should be created using Microsoft PowerPoint. The example form of e-Posters is available on the 2021 TAO Annual Meeting website. (Download here)

The applicants should upload the e-Poster PowerPoint file before Nov. 12, 2021 up to the 2021 TAO Annual Meeting website after receiving notice of acceptance.
Guidelines for e-Posters Presentations
  1. All poster presentations should be completed in English.
  2. Your poster will be displayed vertically using electronic display board, the size of board is 26.5 cm (width) x 41.5 cm (height).
  3. Author's names, affiliations and countries should be included in the poster. The title should be the same as the one in your abstract. ONLY the FIRST author profile photo should be placed on the top right corner of the poster. You may put a picture of the university logo (symbol) or your institute affiliation on the top left corner.
  4. Font size requirements
    Title: not less than 25-point
    Authors and affiliation: not less than 10-point
    Main text: not less than 9-point
    Tables and footnotes: not less than 8-point
    References: 6-8 points
  5. For all figures and photos, resolution should not be less than 300 dpi. Poster content should be clear and concise with good color contrast
  6. Content of research report presentation should be organized in the following order: Objective, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion
  7. Content of case report presentation should be organized in the following order: Introduction, Diagnosis, Treatment Sequence, Discussion and Conclusion
  8. About case report presentations, please provide good quality of extra and intra oral photographs (pre- and post- treatment), good quality of pre- and post-treatment x-rays (panoramic or cephalometric films). Please DO NOT use photographs of study models to replace intra-oral photographs. Cephalometric measurements of pre- and post-treatment should also be clearly described.
  9. Presenters will receive a e-Poster Certification as participating 2021 TAO Annual Meeting Poster Presenter.
